Mystery is an affectionate white girl with black spots that was initially adopted through another group which has now gone out of business. She has been in an adoptive home for years, so is already home acclimated. Mystery never raced but does have tattoos. She is a friendly girl that does the big greyhound grin that is a submissive, happy gesture. So cute! Mystery needs a home without cats. Although she initially tested safe with small dogs, over time, as she got more comfortable she decided she didn't like the small dog in her first foster home. Mystery is a confident girl that can be bossy with other dogs in her home. She is doing very well in a foster home with one other submissive greyhound but didn't do well in a home with a number of other dogs. She would be perfect for a home without any other dogs or just one other larger submissive dog. She would prefer not to have to share attention with a lot of other dogs. Mystery weighs around 63 lbs. She likes to play in very short spurts, but is mostly calm and enjoys her naps. She does complain a bit when separated from her humans, so she's probably not a good choice for apartment living. Mystery walks perfectly on leash, staying quietly by your side, so would be great for families who like to go for walks. What a great girl just looking for the perfect home! |

Shear Volume was called Savannah at the WV farm she was raised on. She came to us with her brother Jim straight from the farm. They just never did well enough in training to make it to the race track. She is a very young girl that won't turn 2 until April 12th. Her Sire is RCK Goneinaflash and her dam is RCK Golden Grace. She is a mid sized female that probably weighs in the lower 60s, although she doesn't have an official racing weight. Savannah was described to us as a girl that really loves attention to the point of being 'needy'. A really sweet girl. So far she has been pretty overwhelmed by her first trip away from the farm, where she was born. She is shy around people that she doesn't know so will need some time to warm up. Savannah really loves her crate and considers it her safe place. She will choose to be in there even with the door open. Savannah passed her cat test with only a few sniffs and no interest in chasing. She was also great with the small dog she met and seems to like children. So far, Savannah is pretty calm for such a young girl. She got along with all the other greyhounds she met too. She seems to be a bit more shy with men than women but her owner says she will warm up and be a very affectionate girl given time. |

Diamond just arrived from the Tri-State Race Track in WV. She only raced 7 official races there and finished toward the back of the pack in all of them. Diamond was retired young and won't turn 2 until May 4th. Her sire is Jackslittlething from Ireland and her dam is SE's Lil Money. She is a small female, racing at 60lbs. Diamond was too interested in chasing the cat to be able to live with kitties. She was fine with the small dog she met though. Diamond liked the kids she met and pretty much loves everyone. She is an attention hog and wants all the love from everyone she meets. Diamond is a very confident girl that does what she wants and can be a little pushy about it. She is likely to be the queen of the pack in any group of dogs. She has a little muzzle rub on her nose right now, but that it looks like the hair should grow back. This cute little girl has a TON of personality and is going to be the llfe of any party. Diamond does seem to need a home with another dog. She cried and stressed, when crated by herself away from other dogs. |

Candy just arrived from the Tri-State Race Track in WV where she raced 4 races. She raced the rest of her 22 races at the Wheeling WV race track. She only won 2 races and raced at the lower C and D levels. Her last race was August 22nd of 2024 and she has been back with her owner on the farm since then. Her sire is the famous DJays Octane and her dam is PJ Kool Aid. Candy will turn 4 on July 6th. She is a smaller girl racing at 60lbs. Candy is a timid girl, that has been very overwhelmed by everything new. She seems to want affection, but can be very cautious at first with people she doesn't know and approaches carefully or stays at a distance. She likes her routine and learned which kennel was hers the first night. She is very quiet in her kennel and considers it her safe place. She chooses to stay in her kennel even with the door open. She seems to do best with other dogs around and is less nervous and braver with other dogs to follow. She showed no interest in chasing the cat or small dog she met, so could live with either. She approached kids and seemed to be cautiously friendly with them. Because she is shy, Candy would probably do best in a quiet home with quiet kids or no children. Candy is a sweet little girl that will need time and patience to adapt and build confidence with her new family. Dogs that are shy can take months to warm up. She is good with other dogs and seems to try to avoid any conflict. |

Hlos Intimidator is definitely not intimidating, and was actually called Jim at the farm. Jim never raced and came to us straight from the farm he was raised on in WV. He just wasn't interested enough in racing to ever make it to the race track. His Sire is RCK Goneinaflash and his dam is RCK Golden Grace. His sister Shear Volume arrived with him. Jim's date of birth is 4/12/24 so he will turn 2 in April. He is a very young guy that still has a bit of a puppy look to him. He never got an official racing weight but is around 75lbs. He is a very tall, narrow boy that is taller than most at that weight. His back touched the top of our large kennel. Jim is a sweet boy that seems to love people. He was a little overwhelmed by his first trip away from home, but seemed to handle everything remarkably well. He liked the kids he met. He was interested at first in the cat, but seemed mostly curious and appeared very trainable with some supervision at first. He was good with the small white dog he met so should be fine to live with small dogs too. Jim seems curious about his surroundings so we think he is likely to gain confidence fast. He seemed pretty calm for a pup and got along well with the other greyhounds. He hasn't been pushy or demanding but does love attention. |

Simba just arrived from a farm in WV. He never made it to the race track and just didn't show much interest in training. He is very young and won't turn 2 until May 3rd. His sire is CET Dirty Dan and his dam is JW's Ladyluck. Simba's litter was named for Lion King. Since he didn't race, Simba never got an official racing weight. He is a mid sized guy weighing in the lower 70s. He initially showed some interest in the cat, but after one correction, he lost all interest. That pretty much sums up his personality. He is super sweet and is a very soft dog that responds well to correction. He isn't an overly confident guy and isn't pushy with people or other dogs. Just a gentle boy and pretty calm for such a young guy. Simba passed his small dog test easily too. He isn't shy and has been calmly friendly with adults and children. Simba would do best in a family with another dog. He was very stressed when crated away from the other dogs and left alone for the first time. Simba is a gorgeous sweet boy that is going to make a fantastic pet. |

Slate and his housemate Merlin were originally adopted from a group in Florida which has closed. They are arriving together as returns because of a move to Europe, not because of any problems with the boys. We would like to place them together if a home is available. Both dogs are said to be cat, small dog, and child tolerant. Slate never had an official race but he had 4 schooling races at the Tri State Race Course in WV. Later he was moved to Orange Park in FL but never actually raced there. That was where he was placed for adoption in March of 2021. He has been in a home since then so is already home acclimated. Slates sire is the famous Pat C Clement and his dam is CTW Dr. Quinn. He will turn 7 on April 12th and weighs 68lbs. More as we get to know him

They are arriving together as returns because of a move to Europe, not because of any problems with the boys. We would like to place them together if a home is available. Both dogs are said to be cat, small dog, and child tolerant. Merlin is a red brindle guy with a graying face. He turned 9 on February 14th and raced at 73lbs. His sire is the famous Kiowa Myth and his dam is Pat C Whereby. He only raced 10 races at Orange Park Race Course in Jacksonville Florida. He won only one race and mainly finished toward the back of the pack. He was retired March 31st of 2019 and placed in his adoptive home soon after that. He is already home acclimated and since he is 9 qualifies for a senior reduced adoption fee. |

Cool J is a black male, born on 04/13/2023. His sire is the famous Rob Gronkowski and his dam is Mac’s Pong. He comes to us from Tri State Race Track in WV. Cool J raced 10 races and only won 1 of those. In his last race on May 14, 2025, he fell in the first turn and didn't finish the race. He has been at the race track since then. Cool J is 75lbs so is a mid sized male. This hunk of love is good with everyone and everything. He passed his cat and small dog tests easily and loves kids. He has been living with older kids in his foster home. Cool J may only be 75lbs, but he is a tall, long boy with the most adorable dish face, expressive ears, and silly personality. He is a total ham!! Cool J is a soft soul, who wants all the tasty treats, good bones, soft beds, and most importantly—all the love. He can be loud in his kennel, so isn't suitable for apartment or townhome living. He seems to be anxious when left completely alone, so needs a home with another dog. He is pretty mellow and is going to be a fantastic companion!! |

Iris just arrived from the Tri-State Race Track in WV. She is a young girl that never had an official race. She had 11 schooling races but always finished toward the back of the pack, so she was retired. Her last schooling run was 11/12/25. Her sire is the famous Lonesome Cry and her dam is RPG Black Ice making her a half sister to Ivan that arrived at the same time. Her DOB is 2/3/24 so she turns 2 on February 3rd. Iris's foster mom says she is a little doll baby. She is very gentle and quiet in her crate. She does bark an alarm if she thinks you need to know something but doesn't bark often. Her first morning she let her foster mom know that her coffee was done when the machine started sputtering. She is settling in well but she definitely isn't a fan of change. Her initial response to anything unknown is to startle. She has a very soft personality and responds to the lightest correction. Iris wants love and petting but can be cautious at first. Iris blossoms more and more each day, and given a little time she is going to be a fun, playful, sweet and silly girl, once she has adjusted to home life. Iris passed her cat and small dog tests so should be fine to live with either. She also likes children. |
