Gold comes to us from the Brindle Kennel at Palm Beach Race Track, where she never had an official race because they quickly realized that she just wasn't going to have the speed or interest to be a successful racer. She is very young and won't even turn 2 until January 6th. Her sire is DJays Octane and her dam is Cry Hope. Gold is playful and loves to run and play since she is still young. She is very curious and wants to check out everything but is learning to walk nicely on leash. Gold passed her small dog test easily so should be fine to live with small dogs. Gold is very sweet, outgoing and gorgeous! She isn't worried or stressed by much and loves adventure. If you are looking for a young, friendly greyhound, this may be your girl! Gold isn't going to be a good choice for an apartment because she does complain about being left alone in her kennel. Gold was in an adoptive home briefly but was too interested in their cats so needs a home with no kitties now. She has a fondness for the young grandson in her foster home so may do well in a home with kids. Because of her young age and curiosity she would do best in a home that uses a crate when they aren't home to supervise. Gold is a very smart greyhound that has figured out how to open crates and even doors in her foster home and can be a bit of a houdini. A plastic Vari Kennel, like they use on airplanes, is pretty escape proof and may be the best kennel for a girl like her. Gold is going to bond strongly with her family, smart enough to learn anything her humans teach her, and ready for whatever adventure they have planned. We think she would be an awesome dog for a family that wanted to do obedience or agility with a dog because she is so smart. She reminds her foster mom of her border collie. Because she is still young, Gold needs an owner who will continue working with her on the manners and rules that she is learning in her foster home. Gold may do fine in a home as an only dog, she seems more interested in playing and interacting with people than other dogs so far.
