Garette is a gorgeous brindle male that raced at 73lbs. He raced his entire career of 125 races at Orange Park Race Track in Falcon Kennel. He turned 3 on July 2nd. We have talked with his owner and she raised him with her children and he has played with her two kids since he was a puppy. He is friendly and sweet and was picked as a quiet dog that would be good for townhouse or apartment living. He was a pretty good racer that did get up to the top A level briefly. Garette passed his cat and small dog tests and didn't seem interested in chasing either. He is a bit of a marker so will need close supervision at first. More as we get to know him.

She retired from racing in 2012 and has been in a home since then. She has been living with a toddler. More as we get more information from her owners. The photo we have is the one that was taken at the track in 2012. Lucy's sire is Kiowa Pretence and her dam is Kiowa Brown Abby.

Nay Sayer is a littermate of CTW Notgonnabeg (Sugar), that we already placed, so we have been waiting on him to arrive. He is being fostered in the same home. He is a short, very muscular guy that raced at 69lbs. He is mostly-white with one brindle spot over one eye and one brindle ear. He just turned 3 on December 14th. His sire is the famous Lonesome Cry and his Dam is CTW Make It Work. He is coming in with his littermate CTW Nitrous who looks just like him and also just retired from the Birmingham Race Track. Nay Sayer raced 115 races and did get up to the top A level there. His last race was December 30th. He passed his cat and small dog tests at the track. He did not get along with a few of the males at the track and got attacked. He was on the receiving end so we don't think it was his fault, but we will evaluate him with other males when we get him to see how he does. This litter of greyhounds turned out to be high energy and not your typical greyhounds. They bouncy, wag and jump and will need an active home that wants to jog, hike or do training with them like agility or obedience. They are very friendly and not timid at all. They don't seem to be afraid of anything. More as we get to know him.

Mark came in from the Sanford Orlando Race track. He raced 197 races and also raced at Melbourne, Dubuque, Bluffs Run and Mardi Gras. He was a good racer that raced at the top A level and his last race was an A level race that he placed 3rd in. He had a minor muscle injury in that last race on June 8th. Mark has healed up from that and is fine now and runs and plays normally. Since he was already 5 years old they decided to go ahead and retire him. He turned 5 on August 13th so he had a very long racing career. Mark's sire is B's Royal Tim and his dam is WW Star Isabel. Mark is a very confident, happy-go-lucky guy. He is very loving and follows his foster mom around the house wanting to be close to her. He only had one accident in his foster home on the Christmas tree which was an honest mistake. Mark is very smart and learns fast. He figured out how to open a door and a gate. Mark is silly and playful and loves playing with toys. When Mark first arrived his coat was a little rough as you can see in some of his early photos, but he has a shiny black coat now and is a very handsome boy. He is a mid sized male racing at 72lbs. Mark was pretty excitable when he first saw small furry things but calmed down after some exposure at the vet's office. He has been good with some small dogs he met since he has been in foster care too. Mark can be a little bossy with other males so we think he would do best in a home with female dogs or he would also be fine as an only dog. Mark was very vocal when he first arrived but has quieted down nicely and likes his kennel now and is very quiet. This is a sweet, loving, fun guy that has a lot of personality. Mark has done very well with the visiting grandchildren in his foster home and seems to especially love kids. He is going to make a fun addition for some lucky family.

Dust will be arriving soon from Orange Park in Jacksonville. She also raced in Abilene Kansas and at Southland in Arkansas. She raced 164 races and is one of the rare greyhounds that raced after 5 years old. Most retire well before they are 5. Dust turned 5 last September 26th and has continued to race until now. Her sire is the very famous Oshkosh Slammer and her dam is WWW Betty Boop. Dust raced at 64lbs and is a beautiful white girl with black spots. Dust did not pass her cat test. She wouldn't go near the cat and seemed to know that she would get scratched by the cat but she would stand, stare and bark at it from a distance. Even though she never acted like she was going to chase the cat, she appeared to really dislike the cat so we think she would do better in a home without cats. She seemed fine with the small dog she met. More as we get to know her.

Abby originally came to us with her sister from a greyhound farm in Kansas. She is raced 131 races at Palm Beach race track in Florida but retired in March of 2013. She raced at 60lbs so is a mid sized female. Her owner was planning on having her become a mama and she stayed on the farm for over a year, but she never did have any pups, so they retired her. We received her in November of 2014 and she was quickly adopted a year ago and has been in a home since then. Due to a death in the family she has been returned to us to find a new home now. She turned 6 on on July 31st. Her sire is TK Quick Strike. Our group placed her mom Audacious and another of her sisters Beguiled so we were pretty excited to get her and her sister when they retired. Abby passed her cat and small dog tests and lived in a foster home with small dogs. Abby is a sweet girl that is pretty timid at first. She did warm up to her first family after some time, but is a girl that is happy just napping on a dog bad and doesn't seek out a lot of affection. She is a sweet girl that did well in a home and had good manners. She did live with a male greyhound in her adoptive home and did well with him. Although she seems to be fine with children, she would need a home with a quiet child. A lot of noise and activity is going to make her nervous.

Ace is a retired stud dog that has 49 offspring listed so far and more on the way. He was a very successful racer at one of the top tracks in the country before he retired, racing at Southland in Arkansas. Ace was a 2011 Derby Lane Distance Classic Finalist. He had the season's best race time at Derby Lane for the 3/8ths distance. He WON 43 of his 152 races. Ace was a star and one of the top racers in the country. We feel honored to help such a huge star find a home. His sire is Kelsos Fusileer and his dam is Kelsos Picilino. Ace is a mid sized guy that raced at 75lbs and came in at about 79lbs. He is very mellow and loves to be loved on. Very laid back and very calm. Ace responds well to corrections and is doing really well in his foster home. He gets along well with other dogs and even some goats on the farm. He doesn't seem to have any signs of separation anxiety so may make a good only greyhound. Although he was a great racer he doesn't seem to have much prey drive towards any type of animal and has no interest in chasing cats or other farm animals. He walks perfectly on leash and doesn't even try to bolt after squirrels or birds. He hasn't made any noise at all in his foster home so she thinks he might do well in an apartment.

She also raced briefly at Southland in Arkansas. Naomi raced at 62lbs and will turn 3 on April 19th. Her sire is Kelsos Fusileer and her dam is Kiowa Adara Amy. We placed her littermate Volando Elf awhile back too. By the time she got to our foster home, her shoulder injury was much better and she was barely limping at all. She is a very happy go lucky girl. Devon is a tiny little female that didn't race. She schooled to race but just didn't have much of a drive to chase and sometimes just stood in the box instead of chasing the lure. We initially got her to place when she was just 1.5 years old. She has been in a home since February of 2014 but her family is having to return her because of a very serious illness in the family. Her mom is having to move in with other family members to care for them and their children and Devon can't go with her. Devon is very small weighing about 55lbs. She paid no attention to the cats and small dogs at the vet's office and was even a bit afraid to approach them so should do well in a home with cats or small dogs. She is a littermate to a girl that we also placed named All I Remember (Angela). Her sire is Kinloch Brae and her dam is Suzanna Salter. Devon will turn 4 on March 7th. According to her family she is very sweet and very good. She can be just a little timid at first when meeting new people.  Be sure to click on her other pictures below to see a cute one of her and her littermates as tiny babies! She is doing great in her foster home after just a couple of days she is venturing out of her crate to interact with them and play with toys. She is a very quiet girl so may be a good apartment dog. She has been calm and very gentle with the kids in her foster home. She is very good with other dogs and will let them take her toys without complaint.

Janet came in from the Roban Farm in Florida. She is a puppy that just didn't show much interest in chasing a lure so she was retired before she ever got to the track. Janet won't turn 2 until March 2nd. Her sire is M's Free Mason and her dam is M's Free Action. She is very shy at first with people she doesn't know but has more confidence than her sister Chrissy, who is also available for adoption. Janet is the redder brindle of the two sisters and has a gorgeous shiny coat. She is very very tiny for a greyhound, weighing only 45lbs. She is one of the smallest females that we have ever placed. Janet has warmed up with her foster family and bounces around playfully and even cuddles in bed with them but it did take some time. She is a silly, happy girl once she has time to warm up. The shyness is just her personality and not the result of anything bad happening to her. She had great owners and was raised on a nice farm. Both girls inherited their shyness from their parents. We have decided not to place Janet and Chrissy together. Chrissy is too dependent on Janet to be healthy and the two girls are more timid when together. Once we placed them in separate foster homes, they both did better. Janet is doing very well in her foster home. She kennels quietly and has good house manners. She will need time and patience to warm up to her adoptive family but isn't nearly as shy as her sister. Janet is curious about the small children she has met. She is more likely to approach a new small child than a new adult. She approaches very carefully and gives them gentle kisses. She seems like she might do well in home with a quiet child but multiple loud kids and running and screaming are likely to scare her. She is more timid around loud noises like yelling or slamming doors. Janet is a very very cute little girl with a lot of love to give. She may always be a bit of a homebody. She likes to go for rides in the car and just lays down. Once she gets to her destination she isn't sure she wants to get out to walk around in the new scary place. She probably would do better in a home with a fenced yard because she does get spooked easily on leash and will freeze in place.

Fitz came from the adoption kennel at the Tri-State track in WV. He is a very short guy that is the height of our smaller girls but weighs 74lbs because of his stocky, body builder build. He is very cute with all that eyeliner and so friendly. His sire is the very famous Kiowa Sweet Trey and his dam is Kelso's Snazzy. He was born on June 1st and will celebrate his 6th birthday then. Fitz has been in an adoptive home since 2013. Due to a change in their schedule they no longer have the time to spend with him that he needs and made the difficult decision to return him. He does fine with cats and small dogs so should do well in a home with either. Fitz has separation anxiety and does complain while left alone in his crate so he would probably not be a good apartment or townhouse dog. Fitz is very friendly, loving, waggy and gives kisses. He will settle on a dog bed in your room and sleep all night. He is a great guy with a fun, happy, sweet personality. He is food and toy motivated so might be an excellent dog for someone that wanted to teach tricks. He travels very well and would love a family that would let him go with them as much as possible. Because of his separation anxiety he would do best in a home with other dogs so he doesn't have to be totally alone. A family that had one member that stayed home a lot would also be great for him so he didn't have to be alone as often.

Butters was the result of an unplanned pregnancy. Her mother is JS Lil Bit Tipsy and her dad is a greyhound but we aren't sure who. She was born on November 7th of 2015 and won't be available for adoption until she is at least 8 weeks old and weaned. Butters is a confident friendly pup, very happy go lucky and sweet. It is rare for greyhound pups to be available for adoption since most pups are bred to be racers and go to the track before they are available for adoption. Occasionally we get greyhound pups that are unable to be registered because of an accidental breeding like this or are injured as pups and aren't going to go on to race. Greyhound puppies are not like calm adult greyhounds in any way. They quickly grow to full size by 8-10 months old and can run nearly as fast as an adult racer at that age. They are very hyper and can run and play all day at that age so need a large fenced area to play in and lots of play time with other dogs and humans. Like all puppies, they can do a lot of damage to your house if unsupervised by chewing, digging and during the long potty training process. Greyhound puppies are not for inexperienced owners and are a huge responsibility. Like all puppies they need a lot of socialization and work to become the happy friendly dogs that we normally get from the track.

Peek A Boo is female greyhound puppy that came from an accidental litter of nine greyhounds in Alabama. We weren't given her mother's name and they aren't sure who her father is. She was born on November 12th. She is sweet, friendly and seems very well behaved for a small greyhound puppy. Like all greyhound puppies, she will be exceptionally high energy for the first year of her life and needs a large fenced area to play in and a home willing to do a lot of training and puppy socialization. Greyhound puppies are rarely available to the public because most greyhounds have a racing career before we get them. Occasionally accidental litters happen that can not be registered for racing. We go years between getting puppies, but this year we have been asked to help place several litters.

Ed has been going to agility classes with his foster family's other greyhound and is having fun with his lessons and can do quite a few of the obstacles now. He is a super guy that seems like he takes anything and everything in stride and would be a great dog for pet therapy or meet and greets or maybe even dog sports. He was a marker when he first arrived but learned not to go in his foster home quickly. He will need supervision in a new home at first since dogs don't automatically understand that the rules are the same from house to house. Ed can be talkative sometimes so probably wouldn't do well as an apartment dog. He has a lot of personality and is a happy go lucky guy that would be great in just about any situation.

Jam was an amazing racer, racing most of his 139 races at Southland in Arkansas which is one of the top tracks in the country with the toughest competition. He raced at the top AA level there and competed in Stakes races so he was one of the top racers in the country. He was recently moved to Palm Beach to race and was retired from there because of a dislocated toe. Our vet is checking the toe. Jam will turn 5 on April 8th. His sire is the very famous Kiowa Sweet Trey and his dam is Slatex Eva. He raced at 77lbs and is a very sweet, friendly boy. Jam will talk to you with a very cute soft ARR ROO ROO when you go up to his crate. He passed his cat and small dogs tests. More as we get to know him.

Kal just arrived from the Palm Beach Track. All of his races listed were at Bluffs Run and Wheeling Downs though. He was just getting started at Palm Beach when he had a minor muscle injury and they decided to retire him. He raced 77 races at the other two tracks before he retired though and actually competed in a stakes race. Kal is a smaller male racing at 68lbs. He will turn 4 on April 10th. His sire is Yahoo Omar and his dam is Many Moons that our group placed last year! Kal is a calm, slightly shy boy that is supposed to be a really nice, well behaved guy according to his trainer. So far he seems like a quiet, sensitive, calm, guy. He barely sniffed the cat and showed no interest in the small dog when he arrived and had previously passed his cat test at the track too.  More as we get to know him.

Hawkeye was the result of an unplanned pregnancy. His mother is JS Lil Bit Tipsy and his dad is a greyhound but we aren't sure who. He was born on November 7th of 2015 and won't be available for adoption until he is at least 8 weeks old and weaned. Hawkeye is a confident, friendly pup, very happy go lucky and sweet. His foster home named him Jamie initially but his new mom decided to call him Hawkeye so his name has been changed.

He raced at 77lbs and is a pretty tall boy. His sire is Blaze N Toddie and his dam is MW Tremayne. He is white with red spots and is a very friendly sweet guy. He was a little interested in the cat in his first cat test at the track but when we tested him the cat smacked him as he was walking throught the door and he was so scared of the cat he started shaking and didn't want anything to do with it again. Hanz does a funny little bounce sometimes when he gets to the end of the leash so needs a little more work on leash manners when he is excited. He also needs some work on wood floors and stairs, he doesn't know how to do those and those freak him out a bit. Even though he has a few things that worry him he is anything but timid or shy. He is very friendly with people and very loving. A happy happy boy.

Coal is a gorgeous, extra large, black male that raced at 83lbs. He will turn 4 on June 16th. He raced 74 races starting in Birmingham then moving to Sanford Orlando. He was pretty good racing at the top A levels at both tracks. He had a bad fall on June 2nd 2014 in a race that resulted in a torn muscle in a back leg. His owner had surgery done on the muscle and kept him off until October to heal up. He healed up well and was quickly back up to the top A level again and raced well for another year. In September of 2015, he had a jammed ankle that forced him to take a few months off. During his time off the scar tissue from the old surgical repair stiffened up. When they started running him again in December he just wasn't able to get the extension he needed to win races. Both old injuries are healed and shouldn't affect him as a pet. They just took a second or so off his time that is the difference between winning and coming in last. Coal is a special guy. He was raised and raced by his owner and is considered a pet as well as an elite athlete. She would love to get updates from his adoptive family. Coal is a friendly boy that was always good in the kennel. He never had accidents in his crate and was a happy guy that everyone liked. Most of the time the bigger boys are kept in the lower crates at the track but Coal likes to jump up into the top crates so is the unusual male that was a top crate dog. His sire is Flying Coal City and his dam is Kentucky Merlot. More as we get to know him.

Sammy came to us from an adoption group in Memphis that moves dogs from the track there to other adoption groups. He is a larger black male racing at 78lbs. He was a good racer that raced his entire career at top A level and ran at several tracks. He started at Birmingham then went to Naples Ft Myers and Flagler. He raced 77 races. Sammy turns 4 on December 20th. His sire is the very famous Kiowa Sweet Trey and his dam is Country Billings.  Sammy is very happy, outgoing and loving. He will chose to hang out with people over other activities. He passed his cat test easily and seems like he will be OK with cats with just a little supervision at first. Sammy is being fostered in an apartment and walks and potties nicely on leash so doesn't require a fenced yard. He is a bit higher energy than the average greyhound and loves to run and play when he has access to a fenced area. He plays really well with other dogs large and small and encourages the other dogs at the dog park to try to catch him, but they rarely can. Even though he isn't a total couch potato, he still is happy sleeping most of the day as long as he gets a little exercise. Sammy doesn't have accidents in his crate even when his foster mom had an extra long day at work. He did try to mark things in the house when he first arrived, but quickly learned good house training. Sammy is very quiet in his kennel and is being fostered in an apartment so may be the perfect choice for apartment or townhouse living. The only time he makes noise is when he hears his foster mom coming in the front door after being gone. Sammy is a very sweet boy that is happy, silly and very charming. He likes kids and everyone else he meets and seems to have a great personality.

She was moved to Birmingham AL in June and only had 3 races there before she broke her leg badly in a race on June 13th and was unable to finish the race. She was splinted by the track vet and was brought to the track adoption kennel. They took her to a specialist who recommended surgery and performed that surgery on June 16th. Pro Greyhound a charitable greyhound rehab organization funded the expensive surgery which cost over $2000. Her surgery was very successful and her leg looks great, but she managed to break one of the pins. So Stacy had to have the pin and all the hardware removed a few weeks ago. She has recovered from the last surgery and is being released for adoption by our vets. She has healed up very well. Stacy's sire is the very famous Soprano Drive and her dam is Huska Oasis. She is a friendly, happy girl that seems very social and not stressed by new things. Stacy loves people and is very sweet. She is a small girl that raced at 56lbs. Stacy can be vocal in her kennel so would not be a good choice for apartment or townhouse living. Stacy passed her cat and small dog tests so should be fine to live in homes with either. As you can see from her picture, Stacy likes to snuggle and be close.

Her dad says that she loved children and greets everyone that comes over to their house. She loves having company and loves being around people. He says she is very good and easy to take care of. Her only bad habit is sometimes getting into the trash when left home alone. She is not crated anymore at home but still does crate well when boarded. She has been living as an only dog. She got up to the top A level and was a winner in Birmingham but recently started interfering with other dogs during races so was forced into retirement. Playing on the track with other racers is not allowed. Sugar Sweet turned 3 on June 8th. She was great with the baby and small dog in her first foster home but still needs to be cat tested. Stani is a big sweet girl with a lot of personality. She raced at 67lbs and is stocky and muscular and probably closer to 70lbs now. She has a beautiful, shiny black coat. Stani is happy, waggy and silly. She will turn 4 on December 10th. Her sire is the famous Trent Lee and her dam is Nikita Design. Stani raced 49 races and Flagler and Naples Ft Myers and was quickly up to the top A level and even competed in Stakes races. She had a career ending injury in April of 2014. She had a broken bone in her hock so she was sent back to a farm in Oklahoma to be a mom. Her leg has long healed and seems fine now. It doesn't prevent her from running around and playing normally. She doesn't have a noticeable limp, but may not be the best choice for dog sports or long hikes because those may aggravate an old injury. Stani doesn't have any pups listed on the database yet but if she had any they would be too young to register yet. Stani seems like a confident girl and likes to stand next to you leaning on you for love. Very sweet girl and gorgeous with that flashy white chest and beautiful coat. Stani was initially very interested in the cat until it slapped her. Then she play-bowed to it showing she was no threat. When that earned her another slap she wouldn't go anywhere near the cat again. She did fine with the small dog in her foster home and a toddler too. More as we get to know this stunning girl.

His sire is Djays Octane and his dam is Fraulein Becky. Mo turned 2 on July 28th so he is pretty young. He is a nice calm guy for his age and has been very well-behaved in his foster home. Mo recovered completely from his injury and he has been released by our vets to play and do whatever he wants to. Mo loves to chase balls. He has done fine with the small dog in his foster home and the small kids that visit frequently. He is a very sweet guy that his foster dad thinks will make an awesome pet. Mo can be just a little timid at first but warms up pretty fast. He has been with us for awhile because he just doesn't go straight up to strangers at first so doesn't show well. If you give him a couple of days to warm up, he is very loving and will definitely be your best friend.

Beretta is a very tiny girl that raced at 52lbs. She only has 2 races in Daytona Beach track and didn't do well in either of them. Beretta retired very young and still has some patches of puppy coat that she is losing. It looks like she may have been picked on by the other puppies in her litter because she has quite a few small old scars. Beretta has a long nose and a cute little overbite. She just turned 2 on November 4th so she still has some puppy playfulness and will need some exercise and appropriate chew toys. She will do best in a home with another dog because she gets her cues from them and follows the pack. She has done great on her potty training in her foster home and doesn't have accidents. She does well living with several small dogs and several large dogs in her foster home. Beretta's sire is Locall Torino and her dam is Where's Finaltee. This is a very sweet girl that does great with a large pack in her foster home. Her foster mom just loves her. She is friendly and very loving and so adorable!

Kimber is a very tiny, friendly girl that is darker brindle. She is short and stocky for a greyhound. Very cute! She is very very outgoing and is a natural sitter that sat a lot of the trip up. She just retired from the Daytona Beach track with her sister Kahr. She had a very short career of 2 races. She is a tiny girl that raced at just 52lbs. She is young and just turned 2 on October 21st. She is a playful, silly girl that will go pounce on toys and throw them around several times a day. She gives hugs and lots of kisses. She is the rare greyhound that will alert you if someone arrives with a bark so wouldn't be a good dog for an apartment. Since she is still young she is more playful and energetic than the average greyhound couch potato. Kimber easily passed her cat and small dog tests and showed no interest in either so we had her listed as good with cats. Since she has shown too much interested in the timid cat in her foster home that hides and runs from her. Since she is not interested in playing with or chasing cats that growl at her or slap at her we changed her to trainable now. She is a playful pup and just needs a home with a confident cat that lets her know who is boss. She will not be placed with a timid cat. Kimber is very focused on people and loves being with her people she is also good with the kids in her foster home. A very sweet little girl.

She raced at Derby Lane, Mardi Gras, Southland and Flagler race tracks and has 78 races listed. She retired in August of 2014 and went back to the farm to be a mom. She did not have pups and her owner decided to retire her. Edith will turn 4 on January 29th. Her sire is Bob's Skeet and her dam is Elsie Bones. We placed her brother LC Edison. Edith travels very well and just lays down for the trip. She is happy and waggy and loves people but seems like she is pretty calm. She is doing great in foster care with the small dogs that also live there. She liked the toddler she met. More as we get to know her.

Scotty is retiring from D'Arcy Kennels at Derby Lane in Florida. He is a white boy with red brindle spots. He raced at 71lbs so is on the smaller side for a male. He will turn 4 on November 20th. His sire is Kelsos Fusileer and his dam is Pam Ford. We have placed two of his littermates Luke Franklin and Mickey Coleman so we have been looking forward to getting Scotty too. Scotty was a good racer racing at the top A level and even winning a 3rd in the Derby Lane St. Pete Derby Consolation Stakes Race. He raced 130 races. Scotty is a calm boy that is very friendly. He was a little loud in his kennel so probably would not be a good apartment dog. If all goes well he will be going to live with his littermate Luke Franklin!

She just retired from the Sanford Orlando track. She just turned 4 years old on August 16th. Her sire is Gable Sour Cream and her dam is Fuzzys Razzel. Mae West is calm, friendly and sweet and a beautiful red color. She is being fostered with a child and has done very well with her. She likes to sleep in bed with her foster parents and loves to snuggle. Mae passed her cat and small dog test without much interest and was actually a little worried about the cat and wanted to keep her distance. When the cat made a move toward her she barked and backed away. She is vocal about being in a crate sometimes so definitely isn't going to be an apartment dog. She is a very sweet, friendly girl and does potty nicely on leash so may do OK without a fenced yard if her owner was willing to walk her.

She did not show much promise there either in schooling so was retired very young. Diamond won't turn two until February 3rd. She is a tiny brindle girl that raced at just 52lbs. She has silver fur between her black brindle stripes so is beautiful and unique. Her sire is Mankato and her dam is Keeper Bow Show. Diamond's trainer says she is very friendly and just wants to cuddle. She is going to make a very loving pet. She is a very laid back girl for one so young. She loves to have a good run every now and then but mostly just wants to snuggle. She is a pretty quiet girl so may be OK for apartment living. Diamond passed her cat and small dog tests without much interest in either. More as we get to know her.

Bonnie just arrived from the Daytona Beach Race Track with her littermate Clyde. They are from a litter of just two pups. She is a dark brindle girl that is described by her trainer as being timid in a new situation for a couple of days then she is warms up and becomes more outgoing and friendly. She raced 10 races and actually won one of them but then finished at the back of the pack after that. She raced at 64lbs. Her sire is the very famous Kiowa Mon Manny and her dam is Riverview Sookie. She is young and won't turn two until January 17. Anyone interested in a bonded pair of young greyhounds? We will also adopt them out separately. Bonnie has been very shy since she arrived at our vet's. She goes to the back of her run when people come up to see her and seems very nervous so far. Much different than her brother Clyde who goes up to everyone. Bonnie hasn't shown any interest in the small dogs and cats at the vet's office.

Ellen came in from the Sanford Orlando track with her littermate Elliot. She is a small girl that raced at 56lbs. She just turned 2 on Sept 11th. She has 7 races to her credit and won 2 of them early on, but was coming in toward the back of the pack in her last few races. So Ellen was retired young. Her sire is the very famous Kiowa Sweet Trey and her dam is KL Elaborate Eva. When Ellen first arrived she was very overwhelmed and shy. She had a female trainer and prefered to be around females and was very timid around men at first. She was not good on leash and bolted when scared. It took her a week or so to settle and now she isn't shy with her foster mom at all and is silly and playful. She has been going out in public for more socialization and is really coming around and is becoming a totally different dog that is friendly with men and women. She is much better on leash now and seems like she has gained a lot of confidence. She easily passed her cat and small dog tests and is living with both in her foster home. Ellen is a friendly, silly, young girl that is very sweet. She might be just a little timid at first in a new home but comes around very quickly and is very loving. What a pretty girl!

Garfield just arrived from the Southland Race Track which is one of the top tracks in the country. He was a big star there racing at top levels and was a 2013 Southland Spring Futurity Finalist! He raced 136 races there mostly at the top AA level. Garfield raced at 72lbs and turned 4 on August 8th. His sire is Rhythmless and his dam is Slatex Cindel. Garfield is very friendly and waggy. He seemed to ride well on the trip over and seems like a very happy boy. He passed his cat and small dog tests. Garfield was quiet in his crate even when all alone in the dog room with no other dogs in there with him. He pulls some on leash when excited and is a strong boy so we will work on that. Garfield was diagnosed with Pannus which is an auto immune disease of the eye. He will need daily eye drops to prevent it from becoming worse and affecting his sight. Garfield is a sweet loving boy that has done fantastic as a first foster for a new foster family. He is a well behaved boy.

Gap just arrived from the Southland Race track in Arkansas. He is another big star from that track racing 140 races mostly at the top AA level and competing in big Stakes races. Gap is a black male that raced at 72lbs. He turned 4 on July 11th. His sire is Kiowa WW Brother and his dam is WW Fast Star. He was very friendly and happy when we met him and traveled well on the dog haul. He passed his cat and small dog tests easily not even wanting to look at or sniff the cat. He seemed like he had already met a cat before and understood what happened if you get your face too close to one. He is being fostered with small dogs and kids and is great with both. Gap loves to chase a ball but only chases it and doesn't understand that he needs to bring it back. He already goes to the back door and whines when he needs to go outside to potty. On walks he pulls a little on leash at first but quickly settles down and walks nicely. He likes to be close to his foster family and is very sweet and social.

Browning just arrived from the Daytona Beach Race Track. He only had 2 official races listed and didn't do well in either of them so retired young. He is a beautiful brindle. Light fawn with black stripes. Browning has a white blaze on his nose and white socks and chest. He is very flashy looking. He has cute floppy ears too. Browning raced at 70lbs so is a smaller male. He is very young and won't turn 2 until November 28th. His sire is Locall Torino and his dam is Knock Out Pretty. Browning is a very friendly boy that gives lots of kisses. He is just precious and seems pretty calm for one so young. He rode well on the trip up and didn't seem very stressed at all. Very sweet and a natural sitter unlike most greyhounds that find the position uncomfortable. He was initially very interested in the cat but as soon as the cat slapped him he wouldn't go near it again and seemed like he had learned that cats are not to be messed with. We have him listed as trainable because we think he would do OK in a home with a confident cat with supervision. He did fine with the small dogs he met too. Browning has been very quiet in his foster home when she leaves him alone so might be OK for apartment living.
