Additional Details:

Nelly is an extra large guy that raced at 83lbs. His full racing name is Nelly, one of the shorter registered names we have seen. He retired from Bolton Kennel at the Sanford Orlando Race Track. He was a fast boy and also raced at the top track in the country, Southland in Arkansas. He raced 133 races total. Nelly just turned 4 on April 23rd. His sire is the famous KC and All and his dam is Taurasi. Nelly is a big, tall, calm, guy that got along very well with the other dogs at the race track, males and females. He settled into home life as soon as he got to his foster home. He found the bed and laid right down and went to sleep. He wasn't worried about the wood floors or the steps and seems like he would just settle easily into any situation. He loves snuggles and toys.Nelly was much too focused on cats he met to be able to live with them . He has been living in a foster home with a small white dog though and is very good with him. Nelly has liked the small kids he met. He did make a little noise in his kennel at first but is very quiet in his crate now so he may do OK in a townhouse or apartment. Nelly is a happy friendly guy that gets along well with others and also seems to do well when he is by himself so may do well as an only dog too. He is so handsome, sweet and calm! Just a gentle giant.
