Special Needs - Seizures! Roar came in from the Orange Park Race Track Adoption Kennel in Jacksonville Florida. He raced 53 races there. Roar wasn't a great racer, racing mainly in the C and D levels but he did win his last race on Dec 3rd of 2016. He was retired then because he had a seizure in the kennel. We were hopeful that the seizure was a one time thing. He didn't have any more seizures until an episode of multiple seizures on March 13th and 14th. Roar is currently on 2 seizure medications that have done a good job of controlling his seizures since then. Roar is a little guy that raced at just 66lbs. He is very calm and well behaved and completely vetted already. He travels well and is super sweet. Roar kennels well and loves his crate and would be an excellent only dog because he has no problem with being left alone. He is excellent with other dogs too though. His sire is the very famous Flying Penske and his dam is Lee Judy. Roar will turn 3 on June 26th. He is a very good foster, 'perfect" according to his foster mom. The rare times Roar does anything he shouldn't, he responds well to gentle corrections. He is a very sweet, easy, gentle, guy that would be a great first or third greyhound. He gets along great with all the dogs he has met so far. He also passed his cat and small dog tests so should be fine to live with either. Roar just recently went on a beach trip with his foster mom. He did great traveling and enjoyed 2 mile beach walks with her. Roar is a wonderful, friendly, happy boy that couldn't be any sweeter! One of his littermates took the tip off of one of his ears when he was young. Roar does need midday meds, so needs an owner that can come home on their lunch break or a stay at home owner. This is a sweet loving guy that has been looking for a loving home since December of 2016 only because he is a seizure dog.
