Additional Details:

Lovie is a gorgeous black female that initially came to us from Bolton Kennel at the Sanford Orlando Race Track. She was raised at the Plum Creek farm. Lovie raced at 60lbs and turned 9 on April 16th. She raced 57 races in Orlando and got up to the top A level. She sprained her ankle in September of 2019 and was off until January of 2020 to heal up. She went back to racing and even won a race, but in her last race on Feb 21st of 2020 she jammed the same ankle again, so was retired. Her ankle healed up well and causes no issues now. She is fine for walks and hikes and playing in the yard. Lovie is a very very outgoing girl. She is very waggy and wiggly and is very happy to see people and loves everyone she meets. She is a total love and is very silly one of the most outgoing and forward greyhound we have met. She is a natural leader with other dogs, so may do best with a more submissive housemate that is more of a follower. Lovie loves stuffed animals and likes to carry them around. Her sire is Top Of The Pile and her dam is World Of My Own. Lovie passed her small dog test and backed away after a cautious sniff. She showed no interest in even approaching the cats so she should be fine to live with either. She is full of personality and will make some lucky family a fun pet.  Update!  Lovie is available again because of some changes in her family's needs.  She has settled into retirement over time and seems to be most comfortable with her alone time. She will ask for attention when she wants it, but can be defensive of her space at times. This means she would be best without small children who don't understand personal space and reading cues. Lovie is a smart, home acclimated girl who will make a great choice for a quieter, drama free family! She has been in a very loving home since she retired in 2020. We think she would do fine being placed separately, even though she has been living with her housemate Linda for years.
