Special Senior: Leslie is a beautiful black girl that raced 133 races at the Sanford Orlando Race Track. She retired March 3rd of 2017 and has been in an adoptive home since. She was initially placed by another adoption group - Project Racing Home. That group has since closed. Their volunteers asked our group to help her find a new home because her current owner has developed allergies to her. Leslie was born 3/27/13. Because she is a senior, Leslie qualifies for our reduced adoption donation of $250. Her sire is Rhythmless and her dam is Shakem Up Leslie. Leslie raced at 61lbs. She seems to be about perfect, very friendly and social and loves everyone she meets. She has great house manners and doesn't get into things and has no trouble with stairs. She is perfectly housebroken and knows many commands including lay down, stay, come, go to bed/let's go to bed. Leslie is good with kids she meets and has been around kids as young as 5 or 6. She has not been around toddlers. She has not lived with cats, but ignores the ones she has seen at a distance, even outside, so should be fine to live with them. Leslie got bitten by a strange dog on the nose. Since that happened, she is likely to growl if a dog she doesn't know comes up to her face. She is excellent with dogs she does know and just needs a careful introduction to new dogs.
