Additional Details:

Gracie came in from a greyhound puppy farm. She was the result of an accidental breeding so she can't be registered to race and was never tattooed. We aren't sure who her parents were and the rest of the puppy litter has already been placed in adoptive homes. This cute girl is very tiny, at just 29lbs when she arrived. She should be bigger than this at this age so she is either younger than we think, or is the runt of the litter and likely to stay tiny. A tiny adult female greyhound usually weighs 50 - 55lbs, so she has a lot of growing to do to catch up. She is only about knee high right now and perches on the arm of a sofa comfortably. She is a friendly, sweet girl that seems very social. She is a puppy so is likely to be much higher energy than the typical adult greyhound. Greyhound puppies need large fenced yards and can run and play for hours. Like all puppies they need constant supervision while they learn house rules and learn how to be a good dog. Once they learn it they are likely to still need supervision and frequent reminders because they forget the rules quickly. Greyhound puppies are like any other breed of puppy and are not the easy laid back dogs that adult greyhounds become. For those that have a lot of time and patience, puppies can be a lot of fun, but they can be very challenging.
