Steve came in from the Bolton Kennel at the Sanford Orlando Race Track. He raced just 22 races starting out at Southland in Arkansas. He wasn't successful there but did well in Orlando and went straight up to the top A level. His last race was September 25th. He trailed pretty far behind the other dogs in his last race due to an injury. He was healed up and rehabbed, but wasn't able to return to racing, so is being officially retired now. Steve is a white male with black spots that raced at 74lbs. He turned 2 on April 3rd so is still a pretty young guy. His sire is Flying Fired up and his dam is Windy Reba. We would love to hear the story of how he got his name because he doesn't actually have a dirty face and is a gorgeous guy. Steve is settling into retirement very well in his foster home. He can't seem to figure out how to keep his body on the dog beds but does like to use them as pillows. He has the cutest curly tail. His trainer says that Steve is an old soul and acts older than his age. He can be just a bit reserved at first with new people and environments but has warmed up fast in foster care. He can be a little nervous on walks and seems like he prefers to be more of a homebody. Steve did fine with the small dogs he met and didn't even want to get near the cats so should be fine in a home with either.
