Additional Details:

Ali just arrived from the Blanchard Kennel at Orange Park Race Track in Florida. She also raced at Dubuque in IA and Naples Ft Myers in FL. She raced 121 races and was good, getting up to A level and competing in a couple of Stakes races. Her sire is the famous KC and All and her dam is Boc's Snow Queen. Ali turned 4 on Nov 14th and raced at 60bs. She is a light fawn with a blue instead of black nose and blue on her ears. Ali is a cute little girl with a very sweet friendly personality. She traveled well. When she had her vetting our vet discovered that she has an erratic heartbeat that slows down dangerously when under anesthesia. She will need very careful vetting with only very skilled greyhound vets any time she is put under for the rest of her life. Ali did not pass her cat test. She was much too interested in getting the cat. Once the cat slapped her she did stop and didn't want to get near that cat again, so could possibly be trainable with the right cat. Due to her initial excitement level about the cat, we think it would be safer to put her in a home with no kitties though. She seemed fine with a small 15lb Italian greyhound she met and didn't even get up off her bed when he came in the room. Ali liked the small kids she met. Ali's foster home has decided that they want to keep her.   Updated Description!  After spending almost a year with our Director, she has made the difficult decision to let her find a home better matched to her personality.  Alice was a very successful racer and has a natural dominant personality which would be fine under most circumstances.  It caused an issue with the other female in their home, however, that continued to be a problem long-term.  Alice is a wonderful, quirky girl with a lot of interesting funny bits to her big personality.  She will be devoted and bonded to her new family but needs to be the only female in her household.  There were no issues at all with her more submissive and laid back male housemates or the foster dogs moving in and out for adoption.  She loves to travel, never meets a stranger, and her family hated to make this decision.  Someone is going to love this girl!
