Additional Details:

This is a rare greyhound puppy! This is a very small brindle female that won't race due to being born with a deformed leg. We will have her checked to see if there is anything that can be done for the leg after she arrives. As it is, she has no idea that anything is wrong with her or her leg. It is all she has ever known, so she has adapted and runs and plays normally. She is a very happy, outgoing pup that has quite the personality according to her owner. She is only 11 weeks old so is small right now, about the size of a large cat,  but will be nearly adult sized in 6 months. Raising a greyhound pup is nothing like adopting a retired adult racer. They are hyper and can be very destructive. Imagine having a large breed puppy that can run 40 mph and needs to run and play most of the day. If their energy isn't drained in appropriate ways they will get into trouble. A large fenced yard is required for puppy adoptions. We recommend doggy daycare unless you have other dogs that will run and play with the puppy. Running and play is important to develop the strong bones and muscles they need to prevent injuries. Crating is important for potty training and when they aren't supervised to keep the puppy and your house safe. More as we get to know her.
