Additional Details:

Poppy just came in from the Birmingham Race Track Adoption Kennel. She didn't actually race there but was moved there because they transport a lot of dogs to adoption groups across the country. Poppy is a cute, friendly, brindle girl that just turned 6 on March 15th. She raced 142 races, mostly at Palm Beach but also raced some at Bluffs Run. Poppy raced mostly at the mid level C and B races but did make it up to the top A level one time. Her last race was March 10th of 2018. She raced at 64lbs. Her sire is the famous Rhythmless and her dam is Keen Katy. Poppy was a little interested in the cat when she first saw it, but calmed down after she sniffed it and realized what it was. We think she would be trainable with cats with a careful introduction and she is being fostered in a home with cats. Poppy was fine with the yorkie and italian greyhound that she met and is being fostered with a small dog. She is great on walks and has been settling in to foster care very well. She has been fostered in a townhouse and is pretty quiet in her kennel so may be good for apartment or townhouse living. Poppy is a very sweet girl that is pretty calm and friendly. She is missing about half of one ear due to some rough play with her littermates as a puppy. This just makes her cuter. Poppy was adopted in April of 2018 and has been in a home since then so is already home acclimated. Her human mom developed bad allergies to dog dander so they are having to rehome Poppy.
