Toppy initially came to us in June from the Bolton Kennel at the Sanford Orlando Race Track. He raced 149 races there and was a fantastic racer, racing at the top A level nearly his entire career. At one point he won 6 A level races in a row. He raced his entire career at that track. We placed his sister Atascocita Prema too. Toppy turned 4 on February 13th and he raced at 71lbs. His sire is the very famous Kiowa Sweet Trey and his dam is Atascocita Golda. Toppy has very cute stand up ears. He passed his cat test and was fostered with cats, so is used to being around them. Toppy is a very friendly, happy, guy that loves people. He goes up to everyone he meets, adults and children. He is curious about everything and seems to not be phased much by anything new. He is a very confident guy. Toppy isn't a fan of his crate and can be pretty vocal about it, so may not be a good choice for apartment or townhouse living. He is smart and it only took one day to house train him. Even though Toppy is 4, he still likes to taste things, so supervision will be necessary until he learns what is OK to chew on and what is not. He gets along well with other dogs but does grumble some if they try to share a dog bed with him. Toppy gives kisses and loves to be near people. He is a goofy, fun boy. Even even though he loves small kids, we would prefer to place him in a home with no kids due to him being protective of his space when laying down. Toppy has been in an adoptive home with an elderly couple since July. They need to rehome him because he is just too much for them to handle. They are dealing with some health issues and they do not have a fenced yard for him to run around in. They have to potty him on leash which is difficult for them. His adoptive home as made some changes and has decided that they won't have to return him after all!
