Nosey came in initially from the Birmingham Alabama Race Track. She was sent to the greyhound adoption group there because they transport thousands of retired greyhounds to adoption groups all over the country every year. She actually raced in Daytona Beach FL. She has 26 races listed and raced at 64lbs. She is young and won't turn 3 until March 10th. Her sire is the very famous Flying Hydrogen, that one of our volunteers adopted after he retired. Her dam is AMF Set Aside. Nosey won a few races in her short career and wasn't bad. She is a sweet girl that is pretty calm for a younger girl. She is excellent on leash and travels very well. Nosey was a little interested in the cat at first but lost interest quickly and has been living with cats in her foster home. Nosey is good with dogs of all sizes and lived with a small Italian Greyhound. She does fuss about being in her kennel some when by herself, so may not do well as an apartment or townhouse dog. Nosey was in a home for a few months and they called her Winnie. They did not have a fenced yard and Winnie doesn't like to potty on leash so she was returned. She likes to wander around to find that perfect spot to do her business, so requires a fenced yard. Although Winnie likes to go for walks most of the time and is very good on leash, the situation with being leash walked for extended times trying to get her to potty was stressing her. She got very dramatic and would scream, cry and threw a fit when the leash was attached for her night time potty walks. Because she is so dramatic we think she would do better in a home with no small kids that could fall on her accidentally. Winnie has been in a foster home with a fenced yard and she is a happy girl now. She follows the other dogs outside and goes potty in the yard. No more drama and no more accidents! She loves having the other dogs around and seems to be a follower that enjoys the company of others. She is a very sweet loving girl.
