Nosey came in initially from the Birmingham Alabama Race Track. She was sent to the greyhound adoption group there because they transport thousands of retired greyhounds to adoption groups all over the country every year. She actually raced in Daytona Beach FL. She has 26 races listed and raced at 64lbs. She is young and won't turn 3 until March 10th. Her sire is the very famous Flying Hydrogen, that one of our volunteers adopted after he retired. Her dam is AMF Set Aside. Nosey won a few races in her short career and wasn't bad. She is a sweet girl that is pretty calm for a younger girl. She is excellent on leash and travels very well. Nosey was a little interested in the cat at first but lost interest quickly and has been living with cats in her foster home. Nosey is good with dogs of all sizes and lived with a small Italian Greyhound. She does fuss about being in her kennel some when by herself, so may not do well as an apartment or townhouse dog. Nosey was in a home for a few months and they called her Winnie. They did not have a fenced yard so had to be leash walked to go potty. She didn't like going potty on leash and prefers to go in a fenced area where she can sniff around and find the perfect spot. She started getting very dramatic about being taken outside to potty and would scream and cry. Now that she has a fenced yard to go in and doesn't have to go for lots of long walks every day, she is enjoying walks again. No more drama and no more accidents. She loves having the other dogs around and seems to be a follower that enjoys the company of others. She is a very sweet loving girl that just must have a fenced yard. Because of her dramatic nature we think she would do better in a home without very young kids that might bother her or fall on her. She seems to like small kids just fine when she meets them and for short visits though.
