Hillary is a beautiful white girl with black spots that just arrived from the Bolton Kennel at Sanford Orlando. She only raced 9 races and came in toward the back of the pack in all of them, so was retired young. She raced at 62lbs. Hillary turns 2 on October 31st. She came in with her sister Heidi and we just placed her brother B Johnny Cash. Her sire is Golden Squire and her dam is Kentucky Merlot. She passed her cat and small dog tests at the track. She has done great with the cats in her foster home, no interest at all even when they are playing and moving fast. She is friendly and walks great on leash. She is just a little more timid in new situations and approaches new things more cautiously than her sister Heidi. Her owner says that both girls were around children as puppies and young dogs and they like kids. |

Heidi just arrived from the Bolton Kennel at Sanford Orlando. She came in with her sister Hillary. She raced 11 races and did win one of those so was a little better than her sister but still retired early because she didn't show a lot of promise as a racer. She raced at 61lbs. Both sisters are both cute white girls with big black spots. Heidi will turn 2 on October 31st. Her sire is Golden Squire and her dam is Kentucky Merlot. We just placed her brother B Johnny Cash too. Heidi passed her cat test so should be fine to live with cats or small dogs. She is doing great with the cats in her foster home. Just sniffed casually and didn't pay them much attention even when the cats were running around playing. Heidi is friendly and is slightly more outgoing and curious about new things than her sister Hillary. She is very good on leash and seems like a very calm well behaved girl. Her owner had children around the girls when they were puppies so they are used to kids and like them. More as we get to know her. |

Marcy is a white female with black spots that is a very special girl. She has an esophogeal disorder that caused her to throw up when she ate, so she was very tiny and the runt of the litter. She barely survived. Eventually her owner figured out why she was so thin and smaller than her littermates. Marcy had to be fed separately out of a raised feeder and needed softened food that was easy to swallow to keep from choking on it. Her racing owner hoped she would eventually grow out of the problem as she got older, but she didn't. Marcy never raced because of her issue. Her racing owner didn't think that anyone would want to adopt a girl that had this disorder, so just planned to keep her on the farm as a pet for her whole life. We know there is a special family out there for Marcy, in spite of her disorder. We have placed other dogs with the same problem. Although Marcy is small for a female greyhound, she is healthy. As you can see from the photos she is able to maintain a good weight using the raised feeder and making sure her food is very soft. She does need to be walked on a harness instead of using a collar to avoid pressure on her esophagus but that is her main limitation. Marcy is a sweet, friendly girl that loves everyone she meets. She turned 7 on April 20th. Her sire is Ardkill Jamie and her dam is JT's Petey Girl. We placed her littermate Hanks Luckycharm and DDM's Dynamite years ago. Marcy is very well behaved in a house and very quiet in her crate so may be a good choice for an apartment. She passed her cat and small dog tests so should be fine to live with either. Be sure to look at Marcy's other photos to see pictures of her as a puppy. She is the tiny one in the group. Marcy has been fostered with kids and cats and is great with both. She is a snuggler that likes to be as close as possible. She loves to cuddle in bed with her foster family- kids and adults. Although she would like to be up on the couch with her family, she doesn't like her feet going between the cushions on the couch. So she figured out that sleeping on the ottoman was a better place for her. Marcy has been in an adoptive home but was unable to hold her pee all day while they worked. They think she would do better in a home where people weren't gone all day. We are getting her checked for a urinary tract infection, since she didn't have this problem in her previous foster homes. |

Pebbles just arrived from the Palm Beach Race Track. She raced most of her 97 races there but also raced a few in Naples Ft Myers. Her last race was July 2nd so she has been waiting for awhile in her trainer's racing kennel for an adoption group to take her. Pebbles turned 3 on July 25th and raced at 62lbs. Her sire is Em's Mac Attack and her dam is Oaks Mean Medina. Pebbles was a little interested in the cat at first, but quickly lost interest after she got a smack from the cat. We think she would be trainable with close supervision at first with cats and she should be fine to live with small dogs. Pebbles complained a lot her first night after she arrived, so she may be too noisy to be an apartment dog. She is being fostered with a small dog and her foster dad says she is very tolerant of the little dog bothering her. She is a very sweet girl. More as we get to know her. |

Voter is a 71lb black male that just arrived from Daytona Beach Race Track. He will turn 5 on October 10th. He started out his racing career at the Caliente track in Mexico then raced at Bluffs Run and Dubuque in IA. From there, Voter went to Southland in Arkansas and finally ended up racing in Daytona Beach. He raced 113 races in all. His last race was in December of 2015 and he has been waiting on an adoption group to take him since then. His sire is EM's Mac Attack and his dam is Gale WW Von Kay. He is used to being around his trainers kids ages 5 to 11 at the track kennel. His trainer says this guy is really chilled. If the other dogs get excited about something and run and bark, he doesn't even join in. He is friendly and will seek out attention from his trainer and likes to just hang out. He has settled into foster care very easily and doesn't seemed stressed at all. He was laying on his back on a dog bed with his feet in the air by the second day in a home, He passed his cat test easily and didn't get excited about the cat either. So he should be fine to live with cats and small dogs. Voter is a quiet guy that is being fostered in a townhouse so should be fine for apartment or townhouse living. He has a gorgeous glossy black coat and is pretty good on leash. Voter would be an easy first or third greyhound. |

Miley is a calm, quiet, dark brindle girl that was picked as an easy first time foster for a new foster home. She just arrived from the Daytona Beach Race Track on Wednesday Oct 19th. Miley is a tall girl racing at 68lbs. She turned 3 on April 17th. Her sire is Lord Dempsey and her dam is Fuzzys Rushmore. She is used to being around kids ages 4-11, because her trainer's children help out in the kennel after school. Miley only raced 7 races and has been waiting at the track for a group to take her since she retired at the beginning of April. Miley passed her initial cat test but got very excited about the cats she saw at the vets office. Her foster home has cats and they have tried to work with her with them but she has stayed focused and is not loosing interest in them so she will need a home with no cats. Miley seems like a sweet, sensitive girl that is just a little overwhelmed by all the changes in her life. She cried most of the night the first night in her foster home so may not be a good apartment dog. |

Apple is a black female greyhound that originally came in from the Melbourne Race Track in Florida. She raced 89 races, mostly at Bluffs Run in IA. She was a good racer getting up to the top A level and even competing in a Stakes race. She broke her leg in her last race on January 21st. She had surgery at the track to fix it and made a complete recovery because of the wonderful rehab given to her by Pro Greyhound and over $1100 in donations from greyhound owners across the country for her surgery. She was adopted a few months ago but had a couple of disagreements with another female greyhound in the home so she is available again. We think she would do better in a home without other female dogs because she can be pretty bossy. She did not pass her cat test so needs a home with no cats. Apple raced at 62lbs and her sire is the very famous Kiowa Sweet Trey and her dam is Yahoo Olivia. Apple is a very outgoing sweet friendly girl. She is calm and gives kisses and enjoys laying upside down and in some very unusual positions. She is a very confident girl that would be likely to be the dominant dog in the pack. She showed no desire to chase the small dogs she has met and is good with ones she meets casually. Because she is big and can be bossy occasionally we don't think she should be placed in a home with small dogs. If you want an only dog that is very friendly and sweet Apple is your girl! |

Cinnamon just arrived from the Palm Beach Race Track, where she raced most of her 141 races. She also raced briefly at Orange Park in Jacksonville FL and Wheeling Downs in WV. Cinnamon's sire is Gable Sour Cream and her dam is AMF Setting Sun. We also placed one of her littermates AMF Cream Soda. She just turned 4 on April 22nd. Cinnamon is being fostered with cats and small dogs and is fine with them. She is a very sweet and friendly girl who loves physical contact and snuggling. She's very sensitive and is a quick learner. Much more interested in human attention than playing with the other dogs. She does get a bit noisy when alone in her crate so wouldn't be a good choice for an apartment. She loves to sleep upside down with her feet in the air in a position we call a roach. She is very cute and sweet! |

Bonnie is a very friendly, sweet girl that is listed as black but actually is more of a beautiful dark brown greyhound than black. She travels well and has traveled all over, racing at many tracks. She started off at Derby Lane in St Pete FL, then went to Ebro, then to Palm Beach and Mardi Gras in Florida. She went to Wheeling WV, then back to Florida to Mardi Gras and on to Sanford Orlando, where we picked her up. She raced 84 races and won a lot of those including top level stakes races. She mainly competed at the longer distances and was the 2014 Ebro Derby Champion. Her sire is the famous Trent Lee and her dam is Kelsos Inga. Bonnie is a tall, leggy beauty that raced at 61lbs. She will turn 4 on October 16th. Bonnie passed her cat test. There was some interest when she first met the cat, but she quickly lost interest and checked out other things. She is fostered in a home with cats and is doing great with them. She loves kids and has children in her foster home that she is very good with. Bonnie has it all, good with cats, kids and other dogs of all sizes. She is gorgeous and has a great personality. She took no time at all to get comfortable in her home and settled right in. She loves to be around people and loves to go for car rides. She has been very quiet in her foster home so may be OK for apartment living. |

Dae just arrived from the Sanford Orlando Track. She never had one official race because she didn't do well in her schooling races. She arrived with her brother Huntsman. She is a beautiful white girl with fawn spots. Since she never raced she doesn't have an official racing weight but she is pretty small probably below 60lbs. Her sire is BD's Herby and her dam is WW's Wind Drift. Dae is friendly and was much more outgoing and seemed less stressed than her brother. Her foster home says she is a very sweet girl. What a beauty too! Dae passed her cat test with no interest at all and is living with cats in her foster home. Dae Dae crossed the bridge in April of 2022. She will be missed. |

Saber is a small female that raced at just 55lbs. She will turn 3 on November 7th. She is came in from Daytona Beach Race Track where she raced most of her 32 races. She also raced briefly at Orange Park. Saber's sire is the famous Flying Coal City and her dam is FTK Foxboro. She is used to being around kids because her trainer has 4 kids that come to work with her in the kennel. Saber has been pretty overwhelmed by the move from her racing kennel. She is pretty timid so far and is afraid to go outside. Her foster family has been taking her out on leash to do her business and staying out with her in the yard. She does potty well on leash so she may do fine in a home without a fenced yard. Her trainer says she is a very friendly, silly, playful girl once she gets comfortable. Saber seems like the type that will warm up but change definitely can be overwhelming for her. So far she seems to prefer the comfort of being in her crate. She will come out to say Hello then will go back in to nap. |

Run is a larger black male that raced at 77lbs and is very tall. He has a gorgeous shiny coat and a beautiful stance. So handsome! He just retired from the Palm Beach Race Track but raced most of his races at Wheeling WV. He will turn 4 on December 8th. His sire is Fuzzys Cannon and his dam is Countess Clare. He is a friendly guy that is really sweet. He was a little interested in the small dog he met at first but after some sniffs he realized what it was and lost interest. He did not pass his cat test so needs a home with no cats. He made a little noise when first in a new kennel but quieted down pretty fast. His foster home reports that he's been very quiet since and may be a wonderful apartment dog. What a great boy looking for his family! |

Dance just arrived from the Sanford Orlando Race track with her sister Royal. She is a small black female that raced at just 57lbs. She just turned 2 on April 15th. Like her sister, she only raced 5 races and only placed in one of them so was retired young. Her sire is Dragon Fire and her dam is Astar Luv Affair. Dance seemed pretty overwhelmed at first by the trip from the track. She is warming up now but is a bit timid and shy at first. Dance's hobbies include lounging in a baby pool and sunbathing. She does not like watching TV. People should not be in a box on the wall, it is more than a little scary. Her foster home says she does stairs great and is quiet in her crate. She does a 2 mile walk with them and enjoys cooling off in the river after the walk. She really loves water. She is as sweet as can be and will make you smile every day. |

Cinder (formerly Dauber) came in initially from the Sanford Orlando track. He is an extra large guy that raced at 82lbs. He raced 6 races and won only one of those. He just turned 3 on August 14th so is a young guy. His sire is the very famous Kiowa Sweet Trey and his dam is Danu. Cinder is a white male with red spots with just a few brindle stripes in the spots. He is a very calm, friendly boy that will lean against you and put his head on your lap. He travels well and crates very quietly. When he did lay down, if one of the other dogs fussed at him he would stand back up and try to avoid trouble. Seems like a gentle giant and a very polite boy. He is great on leash and is not a marker inside or outside. Cinder passed his cat and small dog tests and did well with a toddler that was at his first foster home. He has been in an adoptive home for nearly a year and did great with them. Shortly after they went on a long trip out of the country and moved their dogs in with their parents, there was an altercation between their two greyhound boys. They felt that it would be better to rehome Cinder since he was the most recent addition. No one was home when it happened, so we don't know what happened. Cinder has a couple small tears in his ear and the other dog had to have stitches. Because we don't know what happened or why, even though Cinder has always been wonderful with other dogs, he may need to be an only dog. Cinder has no prey drive toward small dogs or cats and seems like a very gentle guy that has always avoided trouble. On his trip back to us from Oklahoma, a bossy girl kept barking and growling at him over her space. He just curled up in the corner as far away as he could get from her and looked scared. He didn't bark or growl back or even look at her. |

Tyty just arrived from the Daytona Beach Race Track. He raced 74 races. Most of his races were in Daytona Beach but he raced briefly at Orange Park and Derby Lane too. Tyty's sire is the famous Flying Pensky and his dam is Cajun Fantasy. We placed a full brother of his named Swiper too so we are excited to get him. Tyty is a medium sized male racing at 73lbs. He is described as being "a love" very sweet and friendly and a calm, laid back guy. Tyty is used to being around kids, his trainer has 4 kids that help out in her kennel. He is a very friendly guy. Nothing seems to bother him. He loves people and attention so much so that we thought he would be a good dog for meet and greets and our folks that perform at the Renaissance Festivals. His new family is going to call him Nox and he will be a new member of the Renaissance re-enactment group Hounds of East Fairhaven. |

Charlie Sheen fans, here is your chance to cuddle with him on your couch! Charlie is a gorgeous, tall, 75lb, black male that will turn 7 on December 27th. He retired from the Naples Ft Myers Track in May of 2016. He also raced at Palm Beach, Flagler and Mardi Gras tracks. Charlie Sheen was a very good racer and was the 2014 Celebrity Champion at Naples Ft Myers, he was also the 2014 Palm Beach He's My Man Finalist and the 2013 Palm Beach Dick Andrews Futurity finalist. He raced 170 races. Charlie's sire is Yahoo Omar and his dam is Flying Lakeside. This guy was a champion. Charlie has a beautiful glossy coat and is very handsome. He has ears that both go straight up when he is excited. Charlie only ever had one accident in his foster home and is very well behaved. He is not destructive and doesn't get into anything when he is left home alone. The worst thing he has ever done is to tear up a napkin or two. He is good with other dogs and trainable with cats. He hasn't been around kids much but always is happy to see them on outings. |

Pipsqueak came in initially from the Sanford Orlando Race track. She is a tiny female racing at just 53lbs which is where she got her name. Her sire is Afleet Alex and her dam is Xtreme Effort. She will turn 4 October 11th. Pipsqueak raced 85 races at Tri-State, Orange Park and finally Sanford Orlando. She was mainly successful at the lower levels of racing but did win quite a few races. She did great with the 11 month old toddler in her foster home and seemed to like him. She is also good with the small dogs and was afraid of the cat she met. She is a friendly girl that seems pretty calm. She was initially a little noisy in her crate but quieted right down after she got corrected for it. She travels well. Pipsqueak has been in an adoptive home since November but has shown signs of stress as an only dog. A move to a new house made her even more stressed. Her family thinks that she will do better if she goes to a home with at least one other dog. |

Spirit just arrived from the Goodman Kennel at the Sanford Orlando Race Track. He also raced at Orange Park in Jacksonville. He raced 45 races and only won 4 races. He placed some, even though he didn't move up into the higher levels. He stayed at C and D level. He is pretty smart because he figured out how to get off his muzzle in the starting box and raced a few races without his racing muzzle on. Spirit is a tall boy that raced at 80lbs. He will turn 3 on October 3rd. His sire is Grenade and his dam is Hope of Glory. Spirit is a very friendly guy that likes people. He was interested in the cat at first but after the cat slapped him decided he should not put his nose near cats anymore. He did fine with the small dog he met. He has been loud off and on in his kennel since he arrived so probably would not be a good apartment dog. |

Willy just arrived from the Palm Beach Race track. He never actually raced there. In schooling races he would try to chase the lure but could only run slowly around the track and couldn't keep up with the other greyhounds at all. So he retired without an official race. When we took him to our vet we found out there was a reason that he couldn't run. He has a very weak heart that is failing. Our vet guesses that Willy only has about a year to live. Our vet decided to adopt him and give him the best care and meds he can possibly have in what little time he has left. Willy is a sweet, brindle boy that is very loving. His sire is Kiowa Wish Frank and his dam is Rosalina. He is a very young guy that won't even turn 2 until October 29th. |

Backbone had plenty of nicknames at the track and was also called BB and Baby. She was a bit shy and overwhelmed when she first came in but warmed up fast and is very friendly now with most people. There have only been a few men she was a little shy around. She came in from the Daytona Race Track. She only raced 20 races there and only won one of those, but did place a few times. Her sire is WW Always N Ever and her dam is WW's Brute Force. Backbone raced at 62lbs and just turned 2 on July 6th. She was very worried about the tile floors in her foster home at first but she has completely gotten over that now so she just needs a little time to get used to anything she thinks is scary and she adjusts. She just needs a little time to get comfortable in a new place. BB did great with the kids and all the people she met at a very busy meet and greet at a pet store recently. She gains confidence every day and has become a very friendly dog that is very devoted and wants to be with people. She is doing great in her foster home and is usually quiet in her kennel. She seems like a girl that would be OK as an only dog because she pays more attention to her foster mom than the other dogs in her home. She does get along well with other dogs though. This is a cute sweet girl that will be very loving and devoted to her new family. She loves to play with toys. |

He was pretty good and eventually got up to the top A level. In his last race on Feb 4th he broke a bone in his leg. He had surgery in Florida and was sent to Pro Greyhound in NC, a greyhound rehab center. He is expected to make a full recovery. We will place him as soon as he is released by the vets for adoption. That usually takes 8 to 12 weeks. Quaker is a very friendly guy with a sweet calm personality. Very loving. His sire is the famous Flying Hydrogen and his dam is Bella Folklore. She had a total of 17 puppies in two litters in 2014 and 2013. Her sire is the very famous Kiowa Sweet Trey and her dam is CTW Outa Sight. Pnut turned 10 on March 12th. Selena is a 4 year old black girl with a beautiful white face that came in from the Mardi Gras Race Track. She also raced at Flagler and Naples Ft Meyers. She mainly raced at the lower levels but did get up to B level briefly. She raced 102 races so had a pretty long career. Selena is very flashy with her white feet and chest and face! She raced at 65lbs and just turned 4 on May 8th. Her sire is the very famous Kiowa Mon Manny and her dam is J's Baby Blue. Selena is a pretty calm girl that is very friendly and loving. Selena was very interested in the cat at first but calmed down after the cat slapped her and decided that cats were not something to mess with. Since she was interested at first we have her listed as cat trainable. We think she would be OK with careful supervision with a cat that will stand up for itself. She showed no interest in chasing the small dog she met, so should be fine to live with them. Selena is a very well behaved girl that is a very good foster. She loves other dogs and is great with will share a dog bed with them. She is very good on leash and doesn't pull. If something makes her nervous she just stops. Selena was in an adoptive home briefly, but was returned because she complained in her kennel when they left her alone and it was disturbing the neighbors in their apartment. So Selena isn't going to work for apartment living. She is a natural sitter which is rare for a greyhound. The sit is not a comfortable position for most greyhounds. Selena is calm but loves to play with toys for just a short time. She was not worried by the fireworks on the 4th. |

Trent may have a boyish name but she is actually a girl. She was named after her famous father Trent Lee and her dam Soft Melody. She was also a very good racer, racing at one of the top tracks in the country Wheeling Downs. Trent raced at the top levels there in AA and even competed in a Stakes Race for the best dogs racing at that track. She raced 102 races before being retired to be a mom. She has a total of 15 puppies in 3 litters listed burn 2009, 2010 and 2012 but may still have another more recent litter that will be registered to race soon. She has been living on the beautiful Blu Too Farm in Florida and has now been retired from her mom duties and is looking for a couch of her own. She will turn 11 on December 6th. Trent raced at 65lbs. She is a very young 10 and is in phenomenal shape for a 10 year old. She is extremely affectionate and is very laid back and loving. She has a pretty high prey drive so they don't believe she will be able to live with cats. Because Trent is an older girl, she qualifies for our reduced adoption fee of $200. |

Gretal came in from the Mardi Gras Race Track in Florida. Her last race was actually at Palm Beach February 12th and she won that race. We also found records of her racing earlier at Naples Ft Myers after starting out at the Mardi Gras Track initially. She got up to A level at Palm Beach briefly but mostly raced at the lower levels. She raced 62 races and raced at 65lbs. Gretal is a gorgeous white girl with just a small spot of red on her. We placed her brother Hanzel last year so are very happy to get her too. Gretal turned 3 on Jan 20th. Her sire is Blaze N Toddie and her dam is MW Tremayne. Gretal is a friendly girl that seems like she is adjusting to home life quickly. She is friendly and loves to play and run in her foster home's yard. Gretal passed her small dog test with no interest. Although she is good with other dogs, she doesn't seem to be with another dog. She is definitely a dog that loves people and loves attention so she would probably not mind being an only dog that gets all the attention. Great was interested in the cat at first but quickly lost interest after the cat popped her for sniffing him. She has been fostered with a cat for some time and is very respectful of that cat. She has been around kids and likes kids. She is very snuggly and just wants to be in your lap or as close as possible to you, so doesn't seem to have any space issues at all. She marks like a boy and will even hike one leg to pee which is pretty unusual for such a beautiful girly girl. Because she tends to be a marker she will need very close supervision in any new home during the potty training phase. A very loving girl that will absolutely love her family and so cute! |

Blessing came in initially from the Melbourne Race Track on April 17th. He is a mid sized guy racing at 73lbs. He will turned 4 on April 25th. His sire is the famous Trent Lee and his dam is Greys Dance Away. Blessing raced 85 races at Tri State in WV and Mardi Gras and Melbourne in Florida. He mainly raced at the lower levels. He is a playful, happy, goofy, boy that is very friendly. He passed his cat test and should be fine to live in a home with cats or small dogs. He is living in a foster home with small dogs and sleeps curled up with them. His foster home also has children and he does great with kids. Because he is bouncy and playful he needs a home with kids past the toddler age. He would be likely to knock over a very small child in his enthusiasm to greet it. Blessing is a good boy that is very sweet and so happy! Hedoes have some energy and needs to get some exercise in the form of running in a fenced yard, playing or walks. He is a fun guy that isn't a total couch potato like some greyhounds. He would love to have a family that would include him in activities outside their home. |

Nero is a beautiful red brindle male with a white blaze on his face and white toes and chest. Very flashy looking. He is a smaller male that raced at 68lbs. His sister CTW NotGonnaBeg and his two brothers CTW Nitrous and CTW Nay Sayer were also placed through our group so we are very excited to get Nero. He will turn 4 on December 14th. His sire is the famous Lonesome Cry and his dam is CTW Make It Work. He just retired from he Birmingham Race Track where his littermates also raced. He also raced at Gulf Race Track briefly. He raced longer than his littermates and got up to the top A level. He raced 118 races. He is very friendly and happy guy but we hear he has been stressed by being moved into a new kennel at the Birmingham Adoption Kennel. He has been licking the crate obsessively, drooling and doesn't seem to like the new crate. So he may be a sensitive guy that doesn't like change. Like his littermates he loves any type of attention. |

Sweet is a dark brindle girl that weighs 66lbs. She just turned 2 on April 22nd. Her sire is the very famous Kiowa Sweet Trey and her dam is Tailteann Lady. We placed her mom's sister, Tailteann Kerry too! Sweet raced just 18 races at Sanford Orlando Race Track but only won two of them. She was moved to Daytona Beach Race Track but has no races listed there. She seems like a sweet, friendly girl. |

Tyson is a famous male greyhound that was a stud dog. He has 39 pups listed so far, with more on the way. He was a great racer that raced AA at Wheeling in West Virginia and competed in Stakes Races. He was the favorite greyhound of his owner because of his wonderful, friendly personality in addition to being a champion racer. We are thrilled to be able to meet Tyson and to be trusted to find him an adoptive home. Whoever adopts Tyson will be adopting a wonderful dog and a piece of racing history. His name will be in many pedigrees of racers of the future. Tyson's sire is the famous Jimbo Scotty and his dam is Concerto. He just turned 11 on June 5th. He is a wonderful dog that is doing great in foster care. He has mastered the doggy door and goes outside to potty. He is great with the small dogs in his foster home and has been good with the kids he has met. He is a very calm, sweet, well behaved, older guy. Because he is a senior Tyson qualifies for our reduced adoption fee of $200. |

Coco came in from the Sanford Orlando track. She is a big red girl that raced at 68lbs. She turned 3 on January 30th. Her sire is the famous Flying Hydrogen and her dam is KB's Pure Life. Coco also raced at Palm Beach and Daytona Beach before ending up at Sanford Orlando. Coco is happy happy happy! Tail wags furiously and she even does a greyhound grin! She loves everyone and we doubt if she has ever met a stranger. Very outgoing and confident. She does get very excited to see you and makes some noise in her crate, so wouldn't be a good dog for apartment or townhouse living. Coco passed her cat test easily with just a few interested sniffs. She met a small white dog and showed no interest in chasing him so should be fine to live with cats or smaller dogs. Coco is very loving and loves being with people. She hasn't had one accident in her foster home. She is excellent on leash. Coco loves to play with toys. She does stairs easily and isn't phased by much. She has settled into foster care very well. |

Andy is an extra large brindle male that raced at 85lbs. He isn't really that tall, but he is very stocky and solid muscle. Andy just arrived from the Daytona Beach Race Track where he raced about half of his 55 races. He also raced at Orange Park. He only won 3 of those races but did place some. Andy's sire is the famous Stan's Boy Flier and his dam is Blazing Lilac. He passed his cat and small dog tests. His trainer has 4 kids that go to work with her in the kennel and he loves the kids. They would get in his kennel with him sometimes for snuggles. Andy turns 3 on August 28th. Andy was a little overwhelmed when he first arrived. He loves running around outside and exploring. Being in a house is very new to him though and he prefers to stay in his kennel where he feels happy and safe. That will change as he gets more confident. |

Badonk just arrived from the Goodman Kennel at Sanford Orlando Track. He was a very good racer racing 165 races. Some of those were top level races at Southland in Arkansas, which is one of the top tracks in the country. He got up to AA level there. He also raced briefly at Derby Lane in Florida too. Badonk raced at 76lbs so is a medium sized guy. He just turned 5 on May 1st. His sire is the very famous Gable Dodge and his dam is Huska Damsel. We placed another of his mom's kids by a different sire named Huska Kitty. Badonk is friendly and likes people but was pretty stressed by the big move into retirement the first day. He calmed down in the first 24 hours and seems fine now. Badonk seems like a sensitive guy that is very calm. He is excellent on leash. So far he has been pretty quiet in his foster home so we think he might be a good dog for townhouse living. He passed his cat test with only a few interested sniffs. Badonk is a tall handsome red boy. He lost half of his tail long ago. Tail injuries are pretty common in greyhounds especially if they wag their tail a lot. There isn't much fur there to protect the tail if it hits something sharp. More as we get to know him. |

Strider initially came in from the Orange Park race track in Jacksonville Florida. We also placed his littermates Mo's Aragorn, Mo's Biter and Owe Nomo earlier. His sire is Domingo Dodge and his dam is Barts Joplin. He is 5 and won't turn 6 until November 16th. He raced 121 races all at Orange Park. He raced at 74lbs so is a mid sized guy. Strider is quiet in his kennel so may be OK for apartment or townhouse living. He is great with cats and small dogs. He is a very sweet, friendly boy with a great personality. He is calm and well behaved. Be sure to click on his photos to see pictures of him with his brother Aragorn. Strider is home acclimated and has been in a home since 2014. He has been living in a home with small kids and a baby and is very good with them. Strider is being returned because his mom has to start working due to a financial situation and he is not able to hold it for the 8 hours or more she would be gone from the house at a time. |

Ren is coming in from Mardi Gras Race Track in Florida. He is coming in with his brother Roman. Ren is the taller of the two boys racing at 78lbs. He raced 121 races and got up to the top AA level when he was racing at Wheeling in WV so he was a very good racer. He is a pretty red boy. His sire is the famous Castor Troy and his dam is Kay Lucky Duck. Ren turned 4 on March 11th. Ren is a friendly boy that is seems sweet and very happy. He is not quite as bouncy as his brother Roman but they are both very outgoing guys. Ren easily passed his small dog test without much interest. He was pretty interested in the cat at first, but after the cat popped him, he decided cats shouldn't be messed with and he wouldn't go near the cat again. We have him listed as cat trainable. He would need a careful introduction to a cat and close supervision at first. A confident cat that would let him know who was boss right away would be best. Ren is very sweet and corrects easily. He seems to want to please. He walks nicely on a leash and travels well. |

Leigh just arrived from the Goodman Kennel at the Sanford Orlando Race Track. She also raced briefly at Orange Park and Gulf. She raced only 14 races and never won one of them. The highest she ever placed was 5th and often last place. So Sassy retired young and is turning 2 on June 17th. She is a gorgeous, glossy, black girl that raced at just 55lbs. Her sire is the famous Yahoo Omar and her dam is Sassy Gloria. Leigh is friendly and sweet. She passed her cat test with some interest at first but it didn't take much for her to decide the cat was pretty scary and she didn't want to go near it again. She did fine with a small dog she met. She is doing good in her foster home so far. More as we get to know this sweet girl. |

Zerida is a sweet, friendly, black, female greyhound that raced 60 races at Naples Ft Myers and Bluffs Run before she retired. She raced at 67lbs. Her sire is the very famous Kiowa Sweet Trey and her dam is Kiowa Trent Tam. Zerida broke her leg on Jan 7th. She had surgery that was paid for by your generous donations to Pro Greyhound to stabilize her leg with a plate. She was moved to Pro Greyhound for rehab as soon as she was cleared to travel up from the Track in Florida in her cast. Zerida's leg has healed up very well and she has been cleared by the vet for adoption. The leg looks fantastic and has completely healed, you would never know to look at it that it was ever broken. She only favors it a bit when she runs or goes down steps. Zerida has been going on short walks with her foster mom and can walk a mile, but like a typical lazy greyhound, starts to lag at around that point. Zerida is a very sweet, friendly girl. She is pretty quiet in her kennel and very well behaved in her foster home. She is very outgoing and would make a great meet and greet dog. She isn't timid at all and we haven't found anything that bothers her or scares her. She is good with children and is fostered with a small dog that she is fine with. She does need a home with no cats. Zerida is a very waggy happy girl that loves everyone she meets. She loves squeaky toys. Zerida is a great girl that gets along well with other dogs so would be a good first or 5th greyhound. She is a very beautiful girl too with her glossy coat! |

He is a littermate to a couple of other dogs in our program Volando Elf and TrackInfo Now so we are are thrilled to get him. His sire is Kelsos Fusileer and his dam is Kiowa Adara Amy. He turns 3 on April 19th. He is a quiet boy that is good in an apartment home and is good with the other greyhounds in his foster home. His foster home decided to keep him after he arrived. |

Athens just arrived from the Goodman Kennel at the Sanford Orlando Track. She is very young and won't even turn 2 until September 26th. She weighs 67lbs and still has a cute, furry, chocolate brown, puppy coat. When that sheds out in a few months she will be a beautiful glossy black. Athens just wasn't very fast, so never actually had an official race and was retired after a few unsuccessful schooling races. Her sire is Makeshift and her dam is Celtic Dream. Athens did not pass her cat test. She was too interested in the cat to be able to live with them. She did fine with a small dog she met though. She is a friendly girl and so cute! She is doing great in foster care. She gets along well with the other dogs there. The recent thunderstorms didn't phase her a bit. She is confident for a puppy and fearlessly checks everything out. She does complain about being in a kennel so probably not an apartment or townhouse dog. If you are looking for a very young greyhound, this is your girl! Very sweet and cute!

Handy just arrived from Goodman Kennel at the Sanford Orlando Race Track. She only has 4 races listed and placed toward the back of the pack in all of them. She is a small female at 58lbs. She just turned 2 on June 14th. Her sire is PG Tiger and her dam is Rico's Mary Jane. Handy seems like a very calm quiet girl. She only made a little noise in her kennel at meal times and when she needed to go outside. She walks great on leash and seems very well behaved. She has been good with the other large breeds at her foster home. She initially showed some interest when she first met the cat but lost interest as soon as the cat smacked her so we think she is trainable. She did fine with the small dog she met. She likes her kennel and will choose to lay in there. She hasn't tried out the dog beds or even tried to get up on furniture yet. She was picked at an easy foster for a first time foster home so she should make a great first greyhound or an addition to an existing pack. She is very friendly and sweet. Handy slept through the recent thunderstorms and walked on the slick wood floors in her foster home without fear so she doesn't seem like there is much that phases her. |

Marie is a black female greyhound that only raced 29 races. She moved around from track to track racing at Southland in Arkansas then moving to Wheeling in WV, then Gulf in Texas, and finally Melbourne in Florida. She wasn't a good racer and was moved to lower level tracks in hopes she would find a place where she would be competitive. She only ever won one race. She broke her leg in her last race on January 26th. Her surgery to repair the leg was done at the track and Pro Greyhound in NC agreed to take her for her rehab and splint changes. Pro Greyhound is a charitable organization that takes in injured greyhounds and gets them fixed through your donations. The break is healed up and she is out of her splint but still is limping and requires more rehab and limited exercise before she will be released for adoption but we are getting close. Her sire is Djays Octane and her dam is KB's Kaskey. Marie has liked the children she has met and was good with the small dogs too. She still needs testing with cats. |

He turned 3 on February 17th. King's sire is Little Andy and his dam is L's Josie. King is a friendly guy that seems calm and well behaved. He passed his cat test with just a little interest at first, He lost interest as soon as he realized cats have claws. He did fine with the small dog he met. King has been very quiet in his kennel and doesn't seem very stressed by his retirement and everything new. He is a pretty red brindle with cute stand up ears. |

Gus is a pup that came in initially from a farm in Oklahoma at the end of last year. He showed no interest in chasing a lure so they never completed the registration process on him and he never got a registered racing name. They just called him Gus. He is a gorgeous, very light fawn boy that is very small for a male. He never raced so doesn't have an official racing weight, but we guess him to be around 62lbs. He just turned 2 on April 20th. Gus is a shy boy that was overwhelmed with everything new when he arrived. He does like people but approaches timidly and will belly crawl up to you with just the tip of his tail wagging to show you he is no threat. He did great with his cat test and just politely sniffed the cat and is very tolerant of a small dog in his foster home. He seems like he is very good with other dogs too and is more of an omega dog that is very submissive with both dogs and people. Gus has been living in an adoptive home for some time now. His home has decided that they want to have children in the future. They think Gus might be too timid to live with a baby or a toddler so have decided to rehome him. He was very good with a year old child in his first foster home though. Gus is home acclimated and very good. He did warm up to his adoptive family and loved their other dog so much that they feel he would do best in a home with other dogs that he can follow. He is very calm. Gus's sire is Rob Gronkowski and his dam is Karissma. He is young and just turned 2 in April. Tattoos are 63725 44c. He has several littermates that were registered and are racing now. |

Val just arrived from the Birmingham Race Track. He is named Valentine because he was born on Valentines day of 2011. He is listed as white and brindle but looks more white and bluish brown to us. We can't see any stripes in the spots that are supposed to be brindle. He is mostly white though. He is an extra large guy that raced at 83lbs. His sire is the famous Kiowa Mon Manny and his dam is CTW Hard Hannah. Val started racing at Tri State Race Track in West Virginia but was quickly moved to Birmingham. He was a good racer there, getting up to the top A level. He raced an amazing 265 which is right up there with the most races of the dogs we have placed. He gradually started slowing down and finally was retired on May 21st, 2016. Val was curious about the small dog he met, but seems like he will be fine fine with them. He still needs testing with cats and kids. He seems like a very friendly, confident guy. He does have some flea dermatitis so his coat is a little rough right now but that is being treated and it will grow back in very nicely. Val is very friendly and loving and will stand with his head in your lap wanting to be petted. He complained very loudly about being kenneled, so will not be a good apartment dog. He is very calm and laid back but he can be bit pushy and stubborn when it comes to doing what he wants to do - like helping you drive. He will need someone that will give him leadership and direction and continue teaching him the rules that he is learning in his foster home. He is very low energy and very loving. |

Smooth is a brindle male with cute ears that stand straight up. He came in from the Daytona Beach Race Track where he ran most of his 110 races. He did race a few at Mardi Gras Racetrack too. Smooth is a smaller male racing at 67lbs. He will turn 4 on June 21st. His sire is WW's Power Press and his dam is WS's Toffee. Smooth was described by his trainer as "personality plus". He does indeed have a lot of personality. He is very friendly and he has never met a stranger. He is fun, bouncy, goofy guy that is definitely high energy for a greyhound. He loves to give hugs. Even a small dog like him is a little too big to do that, so we are correcting that behavior. Smooth passed his cat and small dog tests easily without much interest in either. He is a smart boy that learns quickly. Smooth takes treats very gently and has learned some very good basic obedience commands. Since he is higher energy he would do best with a fenced yard to run around in every day. He would love an active owner that likes to job or go for walks. Smooth is a very exuberant, happy boy that is very aware of his surroundings and is always up for play, party time, or anything exciting going on. He will do best with a family who is looking for a dog that will enjoy doing things with them instead of just laying on the couch like a typical lazy greyhound. Smooth would do great with a family that wants to do dog sports or obedience with a greyhound. He has enough energy to make it through an hour long class unlike most lazy greyhounds. Smooth likes kids, because he gets excited and jumps we think he would do best in a home without kids or with older, larger kids that aren't easily knocked down. |

Jake is coming in from D'Arcy Kennels at Derby Lane in Florida. He is the son of the famous Kiowa Sweet Trey and his mom is Urban Sea, who his foster mom adopted after she retired. So when you meet Jake you can meet his mom too! Jake raced 26 races starting at Southland in Arkansas then moving to Derby Lane. He won his last race on May 7th, but injured his shoulder doing it so they decided to retire him. It is a minor muscle injury that won't cause him any trouble as a pet, but he isn't allowed to run around and play for at least a month until it is completely healed. Jake is a mid sized guy that raced at 75lbs. He will turn 3 on September 5th. His trainer says he is one of the best behaved and sweetest boys in the kennel. So far Jake seems like a calm, friendly guy. A very sweet boy that will stay close to his people. It was hard to get pictures of him without people's legs in the background because he was leaning up against them. Jake is very good and respectful with other dogs. He seems like the type of dog that would do great with a more dominant dog. He has no desire to be the top dog and just goes with the flow. He passed his cat and small dog tests very easily with no interest in chasing either. Jake is good on leash and will lean up next to you and likes to be touching you even when walking. He travels well. He seems like a sweet easy guy that would be an easy addition to any home and a wonderful first greyhound. |

Roman is coming in from the Mardi Gras Race track with his brother Ren. He also was a very good racer at the Wheeling race track getting up to the top AA level. So fast genes run in their family. Roman raced 101 races before he retired. His sire is the famous Castor Troy and his dam is Kay Lucky Duck. He is a handsome dark brindle guy and is the smaller of the two brothers racing at 73lbs. He turned 4 on March 11th. Roman is a happy happy waggy boy that loves people. He is very outgoing and hasn't been phased by his transition to pet life at all. Very sweet guy. Don't let his serious pictures fool you, this boy is a happy goofy guy. Roman gets so excited to see you when you come home that he barks so wouldn't be a good apartment dog. He passed his small dog test easily and just sniffed curiously. He was very interested in the cat when he first met it but corrected easily and then wouldn't go near the cat. He seems like a boy that really wants to please and do the right thing. If you don't want him to do something just let him know. He is a happy, bouncy boy but he calms down on leash and actually walks very nicely. Since he is bouncy and gets so excited, he probably will need a home with kids that are beyond the toddler phase. He could accidentally knock a toddler down just because he was so excited to happy to see it. |

Nothing bad about Ellie, she is actually a very shy and timid greyhound. Ellie is a small, brindle girl that raced at 58lbs. She raced 6 races in Sarasota and did win one of them. She pulled up in her last race and did not finish the race. That was in April of 2015. She ended up being sent to Birmingham to race then, but as far as we can tell never actually raced there and went into the Birmingham Track Adoption Kennel soon after she arrived. Ellie is a very shy girl that didn't do that well in the kennel atmosphere, so we were asked to help them get her into a quieter foster home. She got along well with the other dogs but is afraid of people she doesn't know and takes a long time to warm up. This isn't because of abuse or anything bad that happened to her. It is genetic and she is naturally very jumpy and scared of everything. She is a dog that will take time to warm up to her new family and isn't likely to enjoy going places. She needs a family that will be patient with her and let her just be a homebody. Ellie will turn 3 on June 22nd. Her sire is Lo Norman and her dam is PG Bad News. Because she is so afraid of everything outside, she doesn't walk well on leash and tends to freeze or bolt if she gets scared. Her foster home is working on her leash skills in their safely fenced yard. Ellie does need a home with a fenced yard because she is likely to be too afraid to go for walks outside her comfort zone. She is very good with cats and sleeps with the cat in her foster home. Ellie is very quiet in her crate and likes the security of her kennel. Ellie would probably be afraid of young, noisy, fast moving kids and needs a home with older quiet kids or no kids. She is slowly warming up to her foster family and is adjusting to life in a home. She is doing really well and sleeps on the bed with the other dogs and cats. It is so rewarding when the really shy dogs come around and start to trust and love their new family! Ellie is a very good girl. |

Penny's racing owner is one of our group's volunteers. Penny retired in November and she has been in their home since then so she is home acclimated. Her racing owners had hoped to be able to keep her as a pet, but aren't able to due to their work schedule. Penny raced at Tri State in WV and then Sanford Orlando. She got up to Grade A briefly at both tracks. She has 81 races to her credit and will turn 5 on August 3rd. Her sire is the famous Dodgem By Design and her dam is Flying Exorcist. She is a confident, friendly, happy girl that is energetic for a greyhound. She would love an active home that would hike, take walks or jog with her sometimes. Penny loves to play ball and frisbee and she would love to have a nice yard where she could run around and play with her family. She gets along well with other dogs. We have her marked as older children only because she is can be bouncy and playful and might knock over a toddler or smaller child. She has a lot of personality and is very sweet. |
